Recertification Requirements for CDE℠
Certification is valid for three years. Maintaining your understanding of current DHA practices by attending training courses and facilitating PHAs are important aspects for a CDE℠. Therefore, recertification requirements for CDE℠ are as follows:
Work Product
- A report that contains the study worksheets from a substantial DHA study facilitated by the applicant within the last year must be submitted. The DHA procedure and any associated guidelines used also must be submitted to facilitate review of the work product.
- Work products and procedures / guidelines must be submitted in English to facilitate review.
Training
- Successful completion within the last three years of applicable classroom training for a minimum of two days is required.
References
- Two professional references from supervisor / manager / peer who can attest to responsibility for work product and professional ethics. Additionally, references from individuals who were members of a team for a DHA study facilitated by the applicant within the last year who can rate leadership skills.
